We had a generous and brave person step forward and be tested to donate a kidney to Eric. Unfortunately, after many tests, this individual was declined as a donor. Transplant teams are very careful to ensure pre- and post-transplant donor health.
So while this kindhearted soul is not in our back pocket, we appreciate all the effort. We are hopeful someone else will step forward and contact St. Michael’s Hospital and begin testing.
